Northern Beaches Nephrology offers medical consultations for all kidney-related medical conditions including:

  • Acute and chronic renal impairment (impaired kidney function)
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Polycystic kidney disease
  • Nephrotic syndrome and glomerulonephritis

 These are conditions that can cause renal impairment, proteinuria (protein in the urine) and/or haematuria (blood in the urine)

  • Kidney stones for medical management
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections
  • Pregnancy-related kidney complications (such as preeclampsia)
  • End stage kidney failure and the treatment options available including conservative care, dialysis and transplantation.

Our aim is to improve your overall health and wellbeing by improving the health of your kidneys.

  • Your doctor referral
  • Your list of medications and dosages. This is vital to your consultation
  • Any blood test results or radiology results you may have

Fees

  • Initial consultation fee
    • $480 non-pensioner (medicare rebate approx: $250)
    • $380 pensioner (medicare rebate approx: $250)
    • 1st and 2nd review $290 pensioners $260
    • Subsequent reviews $190 pensioners $160
  • Subsequent consultation fee
    • $290 non-pensioner (medicare rebate approx: $129)
    • $260 pensioner (medicare rebate approx: $129)
  • Routine follow up appointments
    • $190 non-pensioner (medicare rebate approx: $74.25)
    • $160 pensioner (medicare rebate approx: $74.25)
    • Valid pension card required for pension rate.  Please note. Commonwealth Seniors Health Card NOT accepted.

      SCRIPTS REQUESTED OUTSIDE OF YOUR CONSULTATION WILL BE CHARGED AT $10 PER REQUEST
